July

SOLVillion won the first place at the 2nd National Forum for Young Entrepreneurs 2020, in the Agriculture and Food Security sector.

309 projects were submitted to participate in the 2nd National Forum for Young Entrepreneurs 2020 within three different sectors: Tourism, Health, Agriculture and Food Security.

The projects competed after attending training workshops and only 12 projects reached the final stage.
Four projects from each sector competed to win the first place.

June
  • SOLVillion provides offline and online internships for  five new interns on the team.
  • SOLVillion resumed fieldwork under COVID-19 precautions
  •  SOLVillion has been represented by Engineer Motaz Al Thaher at CMI Water and Climate Change Entrepreneurship e-Hackathon
May
  • SOLVillion is delighted to announce that their Fifth Challenge ended with three winners. First place winner received $150 and an internship in the company for three months with monthly awards. The second-place winner received $100 and the third-place winner received $50.

March & April
  • SOLVillion finalized its fourth challenge Hurricane Dragon and conducted a successful pitching day.
  • Eng. Samar Asaad presented SOLVillion in the Water and Climate Change E-conference by CMI on the World Water Day. The conference was supposed to be held in Spain, but due to the spread of COVID-19, it was held online.
  • SOLVillion  installed two new systems, one at Al Al-Bayt University and one in Al Hashimi Mosque in Jarash.
  • In Cooperation with UNDP, SOLVillion held a workshop titled “Water Treatment in Jordan: Facts and Opportunities” where 18 people attended this workshop.
  • SOLVillion held its fifth challenge during April. The training sessions were conducted online and the pitching day was held on April 30th.

February

SOLVillion attempts to conduct the fourth Challenge (competition), which is an essential part of DWWS to motivate youth to find solutions to water problems from their perspective, develop their skills and be ambassadors of DWWS.

The challenge will take place at Al Mafraq, in March  12, 14, 21,

Applying to the challenge is only by the link, and the winner/s will get the opportunity to be a part of SOLVillion family as trainees for two months with monthly awards.

2019

December

SOLVillion held its second initiative for schools in the northern governorates to treat the greywater and reuse it for gardening and greening. 

November

SOLVillion held its third challenge supported by King Abdullah II Fund For Development (KAFD) for fresh graduates and young professionals from Al al-Bayt University. 20 participants were trained in water and sanitation fields to come up with ideas to improve these sectors. Winners were selected in the presence of CEWAS, SOLVillion’s partners.
In addition to that, SOLVillion was represented by Eng.Samar Asa’ad at Creative Startups, an acceleration program for startups scaling across the worldSOLVillion was chosen among the 10 best startups led by women out of 100 companies.

October

SOLVillion participated in BigBooster, the global acceleration program to boost international strategyin Lyon, France and was chosen among the best 20 startups worldwide to compete again in Boston, USA.
In addition to that, SOLVillion was one of the challenge partners at the Arab Innovation Network Annual Conference (AINAC). The conference was held in Amman to foster innovation in the Arab World.

SOLVillion has been chosen as one of the six winning projects in Social Entrepreneurship Challenge conducted by King Abdullah II Fund for development.
In addition to that, SOLVillion held its second challenge for fresh graduates and young professionals from four governorates in the North of Jordan and 20 participants were selected and trained in water and sanitation fields to come up with ideas to improve these sectors.
