Introduction

By working together on the SDGs, we strive to create a prosperous and inclusive world for ourselves and for future generations.

Everyone’s commitment is needed to achieve these goals. As social entrepreneurs, in SOLVillion, we are leading a new economic culture that is inclusive and poverty-free by linking our business activities to the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)and the full realization of this ambitious UN’s sustainable agenda.

The SOLVillion SDG integration has been reached through an
analysis of the company’s vision and value chain.

The process of assessing impacts and determining
priorities are not scientific processes but require subjective judgments (UN n.d)

SOLVillion’s Contribution to the SDGs

The three horizontal categories represent the degree of impact that SOLVillion has on the goal (indirect, moderately direct and very direct). In each category the following applies: the further to the right the goal is, the greater the impact of mining companies on achieving the goal.

The two vertical categories represent the main focus for making a positive impact (strengthening positive impact or limiting negative impact).

The figure below was based on subjective judgments from which we believe our startup contributes to both our environmental and social systems through the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The mapping was done based on the criteria below:

Highlighting direct impact, was through analyzing SOLVillion’ vision and the direct contribution of the DWWS.

Highlighting moderately direct impact was through analyzing the value chain along with indirect impact of product DWWS.

Highlighting indirect impact was through analyzing what contributions SOLVillion operations can echo to the society and the environment
